Brenda Baker

Brenda Baker is an artist, writer, and museum curator, whose site specific work is inspired by children and nature. Her pieces always reflect a sense of place, intersecting the fields of cultural geography, early childhood education, and sustainability. Brenda is the recipient of an NEA grant, an Arts Midwest fellowship, and a Fulbright travel fellowship and and is held in collections in Europe, Canada, South America and the United States. She has participated in three previous Farm/Art DTours, and is working on a piece for this year’s DTour called the CarbonEra Café with artist Beth Persche.

Beth Persche

Beth Persche is a mosaic artist living in Sauk County. She has created community mosaic projects for three past DTours including large arches and fence posts using beans, corns, wine corks, and beer caps. When not tending to her gardens and orchard or creating mosaics, she volunteers her time as co-chair of Powered Up Baraboo, a non-profit working to increase sustainability and renewable energy use in the Baraboo area.
