The Dry River Goats are a Madison, Wisconsin, based music collaboration, playing a blend of folk, alt-country and Americana. The group is led by singer-songwriter Kurt Klinger, who's songs are drawn largely from his life in the American Southwest. Kurt is ably supported by Scott Carome, backing vocals and guitar; Lily Ahrens, fiddle; Stan Welch, drums and percussion; Ken Keeley, bass; and Ryan Porter, pedal steel and dobro; when the band is at full strength. Kurt's songs have simplicity at the surface, but evoke a deep understanding of the human condition. Close your eyes while the band settles into Kurt's song, "Drive", and you find yourself cruising through the Arizona desert with your favorite companion at your side.
