This chapter from Patricia Tinajero's PhD dissertation for the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts examines Wormfarm as an artist-farmer collective that blends art and agriculture in the Midwest, and the signature biennial art event, the Farm/Art DTour. The DTour serves as a platform for artists, farmers, and the public to engage in conversations about integrating sustainable agriculture with artistic expression to transform our relationship with soil, food, and land. Art installations from the DTour foster connections between rural and urban communities, and contribute to healthier soil, improved food systems, and a better quality of life for humans and non-humans.
